The Redemption Institute was born from the vision and unwavering determination of Satarah Dismuke-Washington. Fueled by her deep-seated belief in the power of redemption and the need for compassion within our justice system, Satarah embarked on a mission to offer a lifeline to those seeking a fresh start.<\/p>

Satarah’s journey began with a painful revelation of the harsh realities her loved one faced within the confines of the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Witnessing the inhumane treatment and systemic challenges that plagued the lives of incarcerated individuals, she knew she had to take action.<\/p>

As her loved one reentered society, Satarah witnessed firsthand the immense hurdles that stood in the way of rebuilding a life after incarceration.
